Timeout for custom script execution - progresscheck terminating the script prematurely

I have a long running task as part of a play function in my custom application script.

But it appears progresscheck.exe terminates the test run after a predefined timeout assuming the script is hung.

Is there a way to set the timeout for progresscheck. I need to account for the long running task as part of the script tun
