Connection Error: No access to ESXi (v 5.1.0) through vSphere (v 5.1)

Hi All,

We are having difficulty accessing our ESXi servers with vSphere, I hope you can help somehow!!

We are running our control system over 2 ESXi Servers (version 5.1.0) which is controlling a pharmaceutical production plant.

We have currently lost access to both servers (Host1 & Host2) through vSphere Client (version 5.1).

We receive the following error message "An unknown connection error occurred (The server could not interpret the clients request. (The remote server returned an error :(503) server unavailable.))" at login.

Both Hosts had been accessible a month previous. This also occurred during commissioning and was resolved by restarting both servers, confirmed multiple times that both servers were accessible so not sure if we have limited access somehow.

On this occasion when trying to log into Host2 it looked like it was connecting as we got a "Loading Inventory..." status before the connection error occurred.

It is still possible to Remote Desktop into individual server nodes and both servers can be pinged from client’s nodes (vSphere installed). I have attached screenshots of the error and some screenshots of the server configuration taken before the issue occurred.

Could someone please advise what would cause this connection error, how to gain access and any configuration changes needed to prevent re-occurrence?

I appreciate your time and assistance.

Thank You,

David
