I have been using an adapted Word template for the HA Report for a few years now.
I modified this template today and now it is no longer possible to generate a report.
I got the following error message:
If I restore the original word template - which was delivered with the HA 5.3.1 - I can generate a report without any problems.
As soon as I open the original template in Word (Office 365) and save it, it is not possible to generate a report.
I have tested this with Word on both a Mac and a Windows 10 PC.
I am using the HA 5.3.1 Java Appliance.
Does anyone have the same problems with template customization or even a solution to the problem?
Any clues are more than welcome.

I am doing a CE activity for some servers and data is being collected for last 3 weeks.
While observing some performance parameters I found out that for some servers the RAM utilization is almost 100% of the configured RAM.
There are 3 columns that I have seen in the "View Systems Data" page of the dashboard where it says RAM used, RAM cache and RAM pages. the RAM used and RAM Cache are almost identical (with RAM cache being lesser than RAM used).
When I extracted the progress report the RAM utilization shows 99% utilization for these servers.
Can somebody help me understand how exactly the RAM utilization is calculated and shown in the dashboard and reports?
i have vcenter 6.0 now i run the healt check and i get some reports. 2 day later i will migration to 6.5 from 6.0 . if i run the healt check report again. report will be same or different on 6.5 ?
5.0.6 has been out for a significant amount of time(3 years) and we have had 6.5 and 6.7 release since that time. surely it is time for a revision.
I have downloaded the application (.zip) file from the partner portal to do health check
The thing is that once opening the Java file in order to start processing. I am facing an issue with detecting the database port number. It only showing the application port number, which is 8080 only.
Hence, and trying to close the application and open it again take long long time to finish.

I have an issue where, I've installed the VMware HealthAnalyzer Appliance and when I go to the url to launch the web console, it's asking for a registration key and directs me to pstoolhub.vmware.com. When I go and complete the registration, I receive the email with the reg key and attempt to add it but get the below error:

In the previous post I got the problem of linked clone stuck in customizing state. Finally I was able to create a linked clone pool with an available VM. Running a remote test I got the "Required number of desktop client pair(s) can not be created, created pair(s) = 0, expected = 1".

I've deployed View Planner 4 but when I add the Infra Server (vCenter Server 6.7 U1), I get the following error when I test: Failed to find VM's {}
When I add and test the VDI Server (Connection Server, Horizon 7.7), I get the error: "Something went wrong".
All servers are on the same subnet/VLAN. Any ideas what why it's doing that?

Does this means that instant clones can be used for the View Planner tests? We have a Horizon solution based on Instant Clones rather than Linked Clones and it would be good to be able to leverage that setup rather than having to deploy View Composer to run View Planner tests.

hi my problem is when i try to boot the iso file on vmware 15 its starts but just turns black and not saying any error. i have tryed to make an windows 10 on vmware a couple of times before and it worked 100% so its not because i dont know how its work. cheers william.
I have view planner 4.1 install with vSphere 6.7 and a Windows 10 x64 gold image with 2 vCPUs and 16 GB of memory, and am running the highMemoryTestProfile (local).
When I oversubscribe memory I would expect paging and the eventual failure of the test, instead the system reports that 1/2 of the operations (mostly chrome) arent actually executing but VIew Planner still calls this a pass. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

I discovered that after the passive mode test(not RDSH) is completed, the report with local latency data mode will be generated by default.
if i use commands to generate remote report for this passive mode test, the content will be all blank.
since the passive mode test required (fewer) client desktops to perform test, should the "passive mode" be classified as one of the remote mode and the test report's latency data mode be remote by default?

At Customer site, I have collected data for an environment with 3 vCenter Servers. One of them is dedicated for VMware Horizon VDI, the other two are for server virtualization. At the end, I would like to have one single report document for all three environments.
After data collection when I open the project, I only see Horizon data (best practices), but no vSphere data. I cannot find a way to switch between Horizon and vSphere best practices.
What am I doing wrong?
Any help would be appriciated!

I need to perform a vSphere 5.x collection but the latest version (5.5) only supports vSphere 6.x.
As mentioned on the Installation guide:
"... Select vSphere as the project type, which supports only vSphere 6.x collection and best practices catalog. For vSphere 5.x, use HealthAnalyzer 5.4 or earlier..."
The problem is that I can't find version 5.4 or earlier for download on the Partner Central site.
Can anyone help me?

In this virtual Windows 7 environment, all snapshots cannot be recovered. All prompted "Cannot find the specified file"
But the virtual machines in other environments that are currently running are fine.
It may be because the planned update of the windows system makes the virtual machine not exit normally. I want to know how to fix this situation.

I am using the 5.5.0 and when trying to generate a report with excel option checked it errors out, word and JSON reporting works fine but I need excel as the observations are mentioned in the excel file. Any help or pointers will be greatly appreciated.

Having issue getting my first run underway. I was able to get VMs spun up. I did notice the VMs is not automatically logging in as Admin in until I intervene by clicking CTL + ALT + DEL in console. However, once run is initiated I get the following error. Not sure what else to check. I made VMs with Prefix VPLT, and entered VPLT into the Workload setup prefix. I am figuring the VMs are found within vCenter. However, I did ensure the VMs spun up can communicate to View Planner appliance over port 8080. Any suggestion on additional test or diagnosis?

None of chrome's actions are performed.
It appears that any tests I try to create, Local or Remote fail instantly with "Failed to start Infra server data collection".
The harness log suggests it is failing when it tries to obtain host statistics/info.
Can anyone clarify what rights the vCenter account needs to have?

Anyne come across this issue and have a workaWhen using HealthAnalyzer 5.5.1 to connect to Horizon 7.11 I get the error 'Unable to connect to target server '
Tried this with the Java app and the OVA. Alos tried 5.5.0 and 5.3.1 version of the VHA and have similar issue.

I have installed 4.5, which has support for Citrix 1912, but when I add the Storefront server I get the error "VDI server type not supported" when testing the connection. Is there something else that needs to be configured to support Citrix for load testing? In fact if i select any server in my environment it will just produce that error when Storefront is selected as the VDI type.

I started a local run with View Planner based instant clone vm's and tried also Horizon pool-based instant clone vm's and kept getting the above message. Any suggestions?

Trying to execute View Planner 4.5 in remote mode and can't seem to get past the point where View Planner attempts to entitle the AD group it created to the pool. Also not sure why it references the domain in the error message rather than the actual name of the group, that seems misleading, but I have validated that the group "viewplannerdev" was created.
